My journey at Vephla University has been one of the biggest turning points in my life. Coming from a non-tech background, I never imagined myself pursuing a career in technology. Although I had always been interested in design, I was intimidated by the technical side of the industry and wasn't sure I could keep up. Everything changed the moment I started my Product Design journey at Vephla.
Vephla didn't just teach me Product Design—it gave me the confidence to believe I belonged in tech.
As a Product Design student, I immersed myself in design thinking, user experience, and product development. The practical, hands-on approach to learning made even the most challenging concepts feel approachable. Through real-world projects and continuous practice, I gradually overcame my fear of not being "technical enough" and discovered a genuine passion for creating thoughtful digital experiences.
One of the greatest parts of my journey has been the incredible support system at Vephla. From my classmates to the dedicated mentors, everyone was invested in helping me succeed. My mentor, Mentor Eva, played an especially important role in my growth. She understood how overwhelming starting a tech career could feel for someone from a non-technical background and believed in my potential from day one. Her encouragement, feedback, and guidance helped me build a professional portfolio that truly reflected my abilities and growth as a designer.
A few months ago, I decided to apply for a Creative Designer role. I was naturally nervous, but Vephla had prepared me well. During the interview, I confidently presented the portfolio I had built throughout my training, showcasing real design projects completed during the programme. Instead of seeing someone with only classroom experience, the interviewers saw practical skills, creativity, and problem-solving ability. To my surprise, I received the job offer on the spot—even before completing my studies at Vephla University.
Looking back, I'm incredibly grateful for how much I've grown. The challenging deadlines, practical assignments, collaborative projects, and consistent mentorship pushed me beyond what I thought I was capable of. I never imagined I would secure a design role before graduation, but Vephla made that possible. Mentor Eva's unwavering support and the University's real-world approach to learning gave me both the skills and confidence to step into the tech industry. Today, I'm excited about the future and ready to build meaningful digital products as a Product Designer.
